'Hot Stuff'! $2.85 Million for Disco Queen's Home
Donna Summers' Manasota home just sold to the CEO of Porsche Cars North America. Sarasota's social media tweeted the news.

The winter castle for disco queen Donna Summers just sold for $2.85 million to an Atlanta businessman and his wife, according to the Sarasota Herald-Tribune.
Summers – who was known for such pop hits as "Last Dance" and "Hot Stuff" – had spent winters in the North Manasota Beach Road home.
The four-bedroom, four-bath waterfront house has sweeping views of the Gulf of Mexico and includes a pool, boathouse, verandah and dock, according to the Sarasota Herald-Tribune.

Summers, who died in May 2012, had owned the house since 2007.
The 1950 home also was previously owned by country singer Mel Tillis. It has 3,786 square feet of space and has been updated over the years, while retaining its Old Florida classic style.

The new owners are Detlev von Platen, CEO of Porsche Cars North America Inc., based in Atlanta, and his wife. The Herald-Tribune reports that the couple was unaware of the owner when they first showed interest in the estate.
