Photos: Phil Collins Snatches Up J. Lo's Villa for $33 Million
The British-rocker reportedly closed on the Miami Beach property Monday.
Former Genesis member Phil Collins has a new place to hang his hat after closing a $33 million deal Monday to buy the Miami Beach home once owned by Jennifer Lopez.
While J. Lo. sold the 5800 North Bay Road home for $13.9 million back in 2005, it returned to the market not too long ago with a $40 million price tag, the Miami Herald is reporting. That means Collins, who’s famed for such hits as “Another Day in Paradise” and “Easy Lover,” picked it up for a steal.
The 12,152-square-foot property includes seven bedrooms and 9 ½ baths. Built in 1929, the home boasts 200 feet of Biscayne Bay frontage, according to its listing on Zillow.com. The home “has been featured in The New York Times Style Magazine,” its listing point out.
