Baby Boutique's Grand Opening Postponed
The business was scheduled to open in Old Seminole Heights on Saturday, June 2.

The Nursery Experience’s grand opening has been postponed.
The was slated to open its doors at 6202 N. Central Ave. on Saturday, June 2, but the wait on some final permits put off the official launch by a week or two, according to co-owner Amy Jensen.
“We are all squared away with City Council and will open as soon as possible,” Jensen said.

Jensen together with business partner and fiancé Juan Camacho have worked since last October to transform the small 1941 house on Central Avenue into a retail shop. Challenges included petitioning the city to rezone the house into commercial use and fixing up the property.
“It was a huge project,” Jensen said, “the place was in a rough shape but I am now very happy with the outcome.”

Jensen said that she is looking forward to the grand opening, which will be on a Saturday. Folks are invited to stop by for light refreshments and a tour of the boutique, which features an art gallery and outside garden area designed for baby showers.
“It’s an opportunity for the community to get to know us and for us to get to know the community,” Jensen, who lives in Dunedin, said.
Jensen is an artist who specializes in children's themed art. The Nursery Experience will offer her work along with the artworks of others, including a handful of Seminole Heights residents, according to Jensen.
“Everything is handcrafted from local artists,” she said. “I really feel like (the baby boutique) is going to do well. It’s unique.”
