SEMINOLE HEIGHTS, FL — A driver has been cited for careless driving after causing a crash that injured four Seminole Charter School students who were waiting for a bus.

According to Tampa Police, on Monday at 12:05 p.m., four students age 18 and 19 were waiting for a bus on North Florida Avenue at West Ida Street when the driver of a 1999 silver Acura attempted to turn left from West Ida onto northbound North Florida Avenue.

While turning, the Acura failed to yield to a 2007 Chevy pickup truck that was traveling north on North Florida Avenue. The driver of the Chevy swerved to avoid the Acura and struck a 2008 Nissan van that was also traveling north.
