Florida Avenue Closing For CSX Railroad Crossing Work
Beginning at 9 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 7, the Florida Department of Transportation will close Florida Avenue at Busch Boulevard.

TAMPA, FL -- Beginning at 9 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 7, the Florida Department of Transportation will close Florida Avenue at Busch Boulevard.
This closure is necessary for CSX to replace the railroad tracks on Florida Avenue located south of Busch Boulevard.
This section of Florida Avenue is expected to reopen by 5 a.m., Monday, Feb. 11, weather permitting.

During the CSX work closure, motorists and pedestrians will not be able to cross the tracks. Motorists will be detoured around the CSX work zone using Busch Boulevard, Nebraska Avenue and Waters Avenue. Electronic message boards and detour signs will be used to assist motorists traveling through this area. Motorists should anticipate heavier-than-normal volumes of traffic on these roads during this CSX work.
Access to businesses will be maintained.
