A home near South Seminole Heights was burglarized on Monday, with thieves taking guns and ammunition, authorities say. A man who lives on River Heights Avenue left home around 7:30 a.m. on Monday and returned about 12 hours later, according to a report from the Tampa Police Department. When he returned, he noticed the following items were missing: three firearms, 500 rounds of ammunition, a laptop, a Verizon HTC phone, jewelry and loose coins, the report said. No fingerprints were available at the scene.
