Heights Unites Music & Arts Festival, taking place February 24th, to raise funding for community improvement projects in Seminole Heights.

Tampa, FL – The South Seminole Heights Civic Association, in collaboration with Brew Bus Brewing, will be hosting the inaugural Heights Unites Music & Arts Festival on February 24th, 2018 to raise funding for community improvement projects in Tampa's oldest neighborhood, Seminole Heights.

The single day event, open to all ages and free for children under 12 with a paying adult, will feature over 16 musical acts playing on a professional outdoor stage as well as a more intimate indoor stage in the brewery for acoustic and solo musicians. Additionally, over 20 specially selected local artists will be invited to showcase and sell their art to attendees throughout the day. The group has also partnered with local company Illsol Arts and Event Space to coordinate a live mural painting of “Heights Unites” on the side of Brew Bus Brewing which will entail the work of local artists each designing and painting their own corresponding letter.

About the SSHCA:
South Seminole Heights is a community-oriented, tight-knit neighborhood located in central Tampa. It was built in the mid 1920’s and consists primarily of historic bungalows although more modern architecture is present as well. The community was awarded the Community Arts Award by Hillsborough County in 2017 for their work in installing Tampa’s first street mural to increase walkability and pedestrian friendly pathways in the neighborhood through art installations.
