It's The Holidays In Seminole Heights

SEMINOLE HEIGHTS, FL -- Revelers of all ages will celebrate the holiday season in Seminole Heights as venues host lights, carols, visits with Santa and other seasonal events.

Wonderland Holiday Party

American Legion Seminole Post 111 and the Old Seminole Heights Neighborhood Association will host a Wonderland Holiday Party Friday, Dec. 14 from 5:30 to 11 p.m. at the legion post, 6918 N. Florida Ave.

Children can visit with Santa and decorate cookies. For adults, there will be a stocked bar, food, music and an open dance floor.

Southeast Seminole Heights Holiday Party

The Southeast Seminole Heights Civic Association will host a holiday party Saturday, Dec. 15 at 7 p.m. at The Pickett Fence, 902 E. Louisiana Ave.

Annual Holiday Concert At Rivercrest Park

The South Seminole Heights Civic Association will host its free annual Holiday Concert at Rivercrest Park, 4802 North Boulevard, Saturday, Dec. 15 at 4 p.m. featuring the Sunshine Band and special guest Santa Claus.

The 30-piece brass ensemble was founded in 1983 and is comprised of volunteer musicians from the Tampa Bay and central Florida areas. The band will play a 90-minute show.

Following the concert, the association will announce the winners of the South Seminole Heights Holiday Decorating Contest.

Residents are encouraged to bring canned goods or nonperishable food items to donate to Metropolitan Ministries for the holidays.

Christmas Concert

Seminole Heights United Methodist Church, 6111 N. Central Ave., will host its annual Christmas concert in the sanctuary Sunday, Dec. 16 from 4 to 6 p.m. featuring the Chancel Choir, Bell Choir, Children’s Choir and Youth Praise Band.

Following the concert, there will be a birthday party for Jesus in Allen Hall downstairs with refreshments and cake.
