Record Store Day (RSD) is an international celebration of art and music. Founded in 2007, it is observed the third Saturday of April each year with the purpose of bringing together artists, fans, and independently owned record stores in the country and around the world.
“It's a day for everyone that loves music, vinyl or CD, to come out as a community and support their passion for music, music collecting and of course supporting the ever-decreasing independent music stores,” said .

This year's Record Store Day will be the biggest yet with more than 350 exclusive, limited vinyl releases.
“As far as what I'm personally excited about, I'm stoked about the Unrest "Perfect Teeth" 7" box set reissue. This band and their label Teen Beat helped define the indie-rock 90’s,” said Ulrey.
Along with selling RSD releases, live music, complimentary PBR and DJ Blenda spinning throughout the day, Microgroove will also offer a storewide 10 percent off sale (excludes RSD releases and consigned items).
For the occasion, the store will open its doors at 7 a.m.
“We feel this will allow neighborhood patrons the time to shop our store and still make it to additional independent outlets in time for their respective openings,” said Ulrey.
Folks are advised to get to the store early, since RSD titles will be on a first-come, first-serve basis. Do not call the store asking to put items on hold.
