Sheriff Investigating Shots Fired During Possible Home Invasion

TAMPA, FL -- The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting that may have occurred during a home invasion early Wednesday morning.

At about 2:30 a.m. on April 10, deputies were notified via Shot Spotter, a device that detects the sound of gunshots, of shots fired in the 12000th block of 15th Street North in Tampa.

Once on the scene, deputies learned of a possible home invasion in the area. Around the same time, a man with multiple gunshot wounds to his lower body arrived at AdventHealth Tampa.

The man is being uncooperative.This is an active investigation.
