Southern Brewing and Winemaking to Brew First Batch
Southern Brewing and Winemaking will brew its first batch and host a 'Barks and Brews Yappy Hour' on Saturday, May 19.
“It's official, everyone. has been approved as a licensed brewery! We'll be brewing our first batch on Saturday, May 19,” wrote the Fenstermachers on their brewery’s Facebook page.
Kelly and Brian Fenstermacher at 4500 N. Nebraska Ave. last January. The business was previously located on East Bush Boulevard.
“We are now legally licensed for commercial sale,” said Brian.

Brian said that the first batch will be “a special beer that has to be aged for a year.” Folks will be able to savor it in 2013, just in time for the one-year anniversary of the brewery at the new location in Seminole Heights.
But don’t despair. Get your four-legged friends and head to the brewery tonight, as plenty of craft beer and great wine will be available during the 'Barks and Brews Yappy Hour' from 4-7 p.m.

The event, hosted by the Southeast Seminole Heights Civic Association, will feature furry friends for adoption from Lost Angels Animal Rescue.
will donate 40 percent of all draft beer proceeds to the non-profit organization.
