Sunset Music Fest Ready To Electrify Raymond James Stadium
The annual Sunset Music Festival is scheduled for May 26 and 27.

SEMINOLE HEIGHTS, FL -- Some of the best electronic dance music on the scene will be performed live at Raymond James Stadium this weekend when Tampa hosts the annual Sunset Music Festival.
This year's headliners for the May 26 and 27 festival include Marshmello, Excision and Alan Walker along with A-Trak, YehMe2 and Barely Alive with Virtual Riot.
“This year’s SMF lineup includes a lot of firsts to make the lineup our biggest yet," said electronic music event organizer James "Disco Donnie" Estopinal Jr. "Three top-tier headliners, new genres like hip hop, a focus on female artists, back-to-back sets, stage takeovers by All My Friends and Brownies & Lemonade, plus some new surprises are in store."

The festival has steadily grown since it was founded in 2006. More than 30,000 electronic music fans are expected to converge on the stadium Memorial Day weekend.
The crowds, however, haven't always been well-behaved. In 2016, two people died and 57 more were hospitalized after taking MDMA that was being sold at the festival.

That year, Tampa Police made 33 arrests at the concert and the Tampa Sports Authority, which operates the Raymond James Stadium, was bombarded with complaints about the noise level.
This year, the Tampa Sports Authority said the organizers have taken "all steps possible to mitigate the sound impact to residents...although atmospheric conditions may increase the possibility for sound to travel further distances from the stadium than normal."
The festival will run from 3 p.m. to midnight both days.
Parking lots at the stadium will open at 2 p.m. and close by 1:30 a.m. each night. General parking is $25, cash only.
To help keep concert-goers safe, organizers suggest the following:
Hydrate- Stay hydrated and drink plenty of water. There will be free water available. CamelBaks
and reusable water bottles are allowed, but they must be empty and are subject to search upon entry. Medical personnel at the first aid tent will also serve sports drinks free of charge to replenish the
body's electrolytes.
Stay cool- Be prepared for the temperature to change from day to night. Check the forecast and bring layers of clothing. You can cool down at one of the designated Chill-Out spots located on the festival map.
Sunscreen- Before you hit the festival grounds, apply a hefty amount of sunscreen to protect yourself harmful rays.
Medical assistance- Look for first aid stations marked with a red cross scattered around the festival grounds. You can visit free of charge for any health-related issues. The Sunset Squad will be roaming the festival grounds prepared to aid anyone in need of assistance. Spearheaded by the Ambassador Foundation, the Sunset Squad is a mix of nurses, paramedics and med students standing by should issues arise.
