The German American Club, 6111 N. Rome Ave., Tampa, will host a Tacky Tourist Dance with live music by the Mellotones, snacks and prizes. Saturday, Aug. 17 at 8 p.m. The cost is $7 for members, $8 for guests.

The Florida Avenue Ales Tasting Room will host a one-year Brewniversary Celebration Friday, Aug. 16 from 5 to 11 p.m. and Saturday, Aug. 17 from 1 to 11 p.m. The celebration will include live music, prizes, raffles, games and food trucks. The best pirates and wenches will receive free beers. A $5 cover entitles you to a commemorative pint koozie while a $10 cover gets you the koozie, a take-home pint and a free beer.
Southern Brewing & Winemaking, 4500 N. Nebraska Ave., Tampa, will host Southern Saturdays Aug. 27 starting at 4 p.m. with a visit from Not Your Ordinary Food Truck. At 7 p.m. Jason Rimmer will serenade in the biergarten with acoustic alternative tunes.

The Florida Community of Mindfulness, 6501 N. Nebraska Ave., Tampa, hosts meditation and Buddhist teachings with Fred Eppsteiner each Sunday at 10 a.m.
