Tampa Government Offices To Close For Thanksgiving

Customers who normally receive garbage, yard waste or recycling collection services on Thursday will not receive service Nov. 23.

TAMPA, FL- In observance of the Thanksgiving holiday, City of Tampa offices will be closed.

Customers who normally receive garbage, yard waste or recycling collection services on Thursday will not receive service Nov. 23.

The revised collection schedule for the affected customers is as follows:

· Customers who normally receive service on Thursday will receive collection on Friday, Nov. 24.

· Customers who normally receive service on Friday will receive collection on Saturday, Nov. 25.

· McKay Bay Transfer Station and Scale House will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, Thursday, Nov. 23, and will reopen on Friday, Nov. 24.

· S.W.E.E.P. Service will not be available Thursday, Nov. 23. Items must be placed curbside no later than 8 p.m. the Sunday prior to the collection week.

Regular solid waste collection service schedules will resume Monday, Nov. 27.

Note, there will be two additional non-collection days coming up on Christmas and New Year’s days.
