1 Dead In Single-Car Accident Near Tampa International Airport
A man was found dead inside his vehicle after the crash, which caused the car to burst into flames on the George J. Bean Parkway.
TAMPA, FLA. — One person was killed in an early-morning car fire that began after an accident near the Tampa International Airport Tuesday morning, Tampa police said.
The accident took place around 2:30 a.m. Tuesday on the George J. Bean Parkway near the ramps for Interstate 275 and State Road 10, police said.
Police said that the man was found dead inside a 1998 Toyota Corolla and that after being closed for an investigation of the crash, outbound lanes of the George J. Bean Parkway have been reopened to traffic. Police said the man was the only person in the vehicle.

In a social media post early Tuesday morning, police described the accident as being a single-car accident, but police have not released any further information. News Channel 8 captured video footage of the cartotally engulfed in flames, but police have not said what caused the accident as an investigation continues.
