1 Woman Dies, Another Critical Following Wrong-Way Crash

TAMPA, FL — A 20-year-old Tampa woman is dead and a 21-year-old Thonotosassa woman is in critical condition following wrong-way crash Sunday morning on U.S. 41.

Just before 7 a.m., the Tampa woman was driving a Chevrolet north in the southbound lane of U.S. 41 and collided nearly head on with a Nissan traveling south on U.S. 41.

The Tampa woman died at the scene.
