2 Unrelated Homicides Investigated Overnight By Tampa Police
Two men died from gunshot wounds in unrelated shootings Monday in Tampa.
TAMPA, FL — Tampa police are investigating two unrelated homicides that occurred overnight.
On Monday at 12:43 a.m., police responded to the 3600 block of 29th Avenue after someone reported hearing shots.
When they arrived, they found a man with a gunshot wound. Officers began life-saving measures before Tampa Fire Rescue arrived and took him to the hospital where he later died.

Then, at 3:26 a.m., officers were dispatched to 17th Street and 3rd Avenue and found another man with gunshot wounds.
Officers began CPR until the man was taken to the hospital where he also died.

Although early in the investigation, police said these two homicides do not appear to be related nor do they appear to be random.
