NEW PORT RICHEY, FL — Coronavirus cases continue to drop across the country while the number of those who are fully vaccinated continues to rise, which means there is even more reason to celebrate this Independence Day.
July 4 is almost here, so it's time to find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on near you.

Patriotic Golf Cart Ride & Roll
Where: Railroad Square in New Port Richey

When: Saturday, July 3 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
What: Following a super successful roll-out last year, the Cotee River Golf Cart Owners are once again hitting the streets to put on a Patriotic Ride & Roll Saturday, July 3 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in downtown New Port Richey. Staging will take place at 10 a.m. in Railroad Square and the Ride & Roll will begin at 11 a.m.
Starkey Market's 4th Of July Extravaganza
When: Sunday, July 4 from 5 to 11 p.m. (fireworks at 9 p.m.)
Where: Starkey Market, 3460 Starkey Blvd., Trinity
What: Starkey Market will offer a concert with the John Gonzalez Band, face painting for kids, food trucks, craft beer, wine and $5 drafts, and a private fireworks show hosted by Starkey Blueberry Farm at dusk. and food and beverages. Guests are advised to bring their own chairs and blankets. No outside food, drink or coolers will be allowed.

Lutz's 4th Of July Hoe-Down
Where: County Line Produce, 109 Willow Bend Parkway, Lutz
When: Sunday, July 4 from noon to 8 p.m.
What: Hosted by Intensity Academy Gourmet Sauces, Jennifer Dobbs Realtor and County Line Produce Co., Lutz's Fourth of July Hoe-Down will include a fireworks show at dark, food trucks, a corn-eating contest, a watermelon-eating contest, live music including Charles Goodwin on stage from 7 to 8 p.m., a kids' stroller, wagon or Power Wheels parade and vendors.
Independence Day Festival
Where: The Grove at Wesley Chapel, 6033 Wesley Grove Blvd., Wesley Chapel.
When: Sunday, July 4 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
What: There will be craft vendors, food trucks, inflatables, axe throwing, games, batting cages, music and fireworks at 8:30 p.m. The cost is $10 for adults. A free kids' ticket comes with each adult ticket purchase.
July 4th Celebration At Avalon Park
Where: Avalon Park in Wesley Chapel
When: Sunday, July 4 from 5 to 9 p.m.
What: Avalon Park subdivision will host its annual Fourth of July celebration with a bounce park, a bike parade, a bake-off, community performances, and culminating in a fireworks show at 9 p.m.
Zephyrhills 4th Of July Summer Fest
Where: Zephyr Park, 38116 5th Ave., Zephyrhills
When: Sunday, July 4, from noon to 9:30 p.m.
What: Zephyrhills will host its sixth annual Zephyrhills Summer Fest with games, hot dog and watermelon-eating contests, a kids' dance-off, pony rides, 10 Tampa Bay food trucks, a vendor market with hand-made home decor, soaps, cottage bakers, jewelry and arts, water slides and bounce houses, and sponsor booths with giveaways and photo booths.
Entertainment will include DJ Express from noon to 5 p.m.; country band Fast4Ward from 5:30 to 7 p.m.; and county band Crossfire Creek from 7:30 to 9 p.m.
A 30-minute fireworks show over Zephyr Lake will take place at sunset.
The event is free but arm bands can be purchased for the water slides and bounce houses with all proceeds benefiting local charities.
Patriotic Picnic In The Park
Where: Craig Park on Tarpn Avenue and Spring Boulevard in Tarpon Springs
When: Sunday, July 4 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
What: The daylong celebration on July 4 will begin with the traditional picnic at Craig Park on Tarpon Avenue at Spring Boulevard from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event returns in 2021 for the 13th time after being canceled last year. This family-friendly celebration will include a live band from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. There will be food, drinks, a hot dog-eating contest for ages 16 and up and water slides. Bring lawn chairs, swimsuits and towels.
Fireworks Display
Where: Fred Howard Park, 1700 Sunset Drive, Tarpon Springs
When: Sunday, July 4 at 8:30 p.m.
What: Head to Fred Howard Park for a fireworks extravaganza launched from Sunset Beach starting about 8:30 p.m. The best viewing will be at Howard Park Beach. The park, beach and causeway will be open for parking to view the fireworks show. Parking is free after 6 p.m. but is limited so come early. After the park is at capacity, the gates will be closed.
No alcoholic beverages and no personal fireworks are permitted in the park. For set up and safety, Sunset Beach and the boat launch will be closed all day Sunday.
Boom By The Bay
Where: Various Tampa Riverwalk locations
When: Sunday, July 4 starting at 5 p.m.
What: The event begins at 5 p.m. on July 4 with a boat parade and Blessing of the Fleet, which is presented by Friends of the Tampa Riverwalk. The parade will take a similar route as the holiday light boat parade but will have three blessing stations.
The parade will begin in the Tampa Convention Center basin, travel to the Heights and end at Sparkman Wharf. Public viewing locations include the Armature Works, Channelside Drive, the Tampa Convention Center, Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park, Davis Islands, Harbour Island, Sparkman Wharf and Water Works Park.
Following the boat parade, Boom by the Bay programming will begin at 7 p.m. with family-friendly activities spanning six waterfront locations, including two new locations. Each site will feature activities for all ages, food vendors, entertainment, and fireworks, which will be choreographed together and launched simultaneously at dusk (approximately 9:15 p.m.).
The six locations this year include: Julian B. Lane Riverfront Park, presented by the Hard Rock; Armature Works; Tampa Convention Center; Sparkman Wharf; Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park, presented by Tampa Downtown Partnership; and Bayshore Boulevard, presented by Coca-Cola Beverages Florida.
The event is free and open to the public. Event goers are reminded to follow COVID-19 safety guidelines and take advantage of sanitation stations at each location.
'The Fourth' Independence Day Celebration
Where: St. Pete Pier, 800 2nd Ave. N.E., St. Petersburg
When: July 2-July 4 (check link above for all times)
What: This three-day event is filled with fun activities for all, including the inaugural St. Pete Pier Run, Silent Disco, Gulp Coast Craft Beer Garden, food trucks & vendors, pie eating contest, live music on the Visit St. Pete Clearwater Main Stage, karaoke, Independence Day Movie, roaming entertainers, and so much more.
The traditional Fourth of July fireworks show sponsored by the city of St. Pete is scheduled for Sunday, July 4, at 9 p.m., and will be visible from the entire downtown waterfront, including Bayshore Drive, Straub Parks, Vinoy Park, and others.
Safety Harbor Fourth of July Parade
Where: 200 Main St., Safety Harbor
When: July 4 at 10 a.m.
What: Bring the family to downtown Safety Harbor and see decorative floats and cars drive along Main Street as you celebrate Independence Day. This event is hosted by the American Legion Auxiliary. Remember to wear your red, white and blue. If you want to enter a float in the parade, call 727-726-9601.
Fourth of July Fireworks Celebration By Black Real Estate
Where: Veterans Park at the Safety Harbor Marina, 110 Veterans Memorial Lane, Safety Harbor
When: July 4 from 5 to 9:30 p.m.
What: There will be children’s activities, live entertainment, food vendors, and plenty of fun for the whole family. The fireworks display is scheduled for 9 p.m.
Clearwater Celebrates America
Where: Baycare Ballpark, 601 Old Coachman Road, Clearwater
When: 7 p.m. with a fireworks show starting at 9:15 p.m. set to choreographed music.
What: The annual celebration is temporarily relocating from its traditional venue at Coachman Park to BayCare Ballpark due to the construction of the Imagine Clearwater gateway project at Coachman Park.
Prior to the fireworks, there will be a concert featuring The Black Honkeys Band, activities and giveaways.
Clearwater Celebrates America is a ticketed event. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at BayCare Ballpark by calling 727-467-4457 or online. There will be no viewing locations outside the stadium.
Threshers Celebrate Independence Day
Where: Baycare Ballpark, 601 N. Old Coachman Road, Clearwater.
When: Friday, July 2, and Saturday, July 3
What: The Clearwater Threshers and Budweiser will present Independence Day celebrations with fireworks at Baycare Ballpark on July 2 and 3.
Gates open at 5:30 p.m. on Friday and 5 p.m. on Saturday for the 6:30 p.m. games with the St. Lucie Mets. Stay after for the fireworks displays both nights with specials on Budweiser products.
The Baycare Ballpark Box Office is open Tuesday through Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and during games. Call 727-467-4457.
Tarpon Springs Fireworks Show and Picnic
Where: Craig Park and Fred Howard Park
When: Sunday, July 4 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., dusk
What: The daylong celebration will begin with a traditional picnic in Craig Park with games, a waterslide, food and drinks and live entertainment from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will conclude with a massive fireworks display over Fred Howard Park after dusk.
Treasure Island Fireworks Show
Where: Fireworks will be shot from the beach near Gulf Front Park, 10400 Gulf Blvd.
When: Sunday, July 4 (rain date July 5) starting at 9 p.m.
What: The city of Treasure Island will celebrate Independence Day with a fireworks show on the beach.
Bring a beach chair or towel and enjoy the show as fireworks light up the night sky. Those coming out to the fireworks show will be able to park in Treasure Island Park for a $20 flat-rate parking fee. Find a list of all metered parking lots by visiting mytreasureisland.com and by clicking on "Parking" in the main drop-down menu.

Largo Fireworks Display
Where: Largo Central Park, 101 Central Park Drive, Largo
When: Sunday, July 4 from 7 to 9 p.m.
What: Indian Rocks Baptist Church will present Largo's fireworks show this year.
Bring chairs and blankets and enjoy the fireworks show.
No pets, alcohol, tents, fireworks or sparklers are permitted. Food and beverage vendors will be on site. The playground will close at 8 p.m. to prepare for the fireworks show.
There will be limited on-site parking for $10 or park for $5 at Largo High School and walk to the park.
Residents can also watch the fireworks from The Triangle, Bayhead Action Park and Largo High School.
