Bake’n Babes To Open 2nd Location At Armature Works In Tampa
The new vendor will be taking up residency in the northern end of the market between the Ichicoro and Empamamas stalls.
TAMPA, FL — Tampa-based bakery, Bake’n Babes, announced it will open a second location in the Heights Public Market at Armature Works in the coming weeks. The bakery will join 19 other dining options and will be the first of its kind for the nearly 3-year-old food hall.
The new vendor will be taking up residency in the northern end of the market between the Ichicoro and Empamamas stalls. Known for its Instagrammable desserts like Nutella-stuffed chocolate chip cookies, sleazy brownies and Freak Shakes, Bake’n Babes has been making big waves in recent years among sweets lovers and social media influencers.
In place of its classic Freak Shake, Bake'n Babes will be offering a reworked version exclusive to Armature Works that will allow customers to take it on the lawn or the Riverwalk to enjoy.

“I’m excited for this next step with Bake’n Babes” said Curry. “It’s great to be in a location alongside other strong women entrepreneurs like Stephanie Swanz from Empamamas, Felicia Lacalle from Kuba Cocina and Jennifer Bingham from Cru Cellars.”
Once a maintenance and storage warehouse for Tampa Electric Company trolleys more than a century ago, Armature Works is now a fully restored mixed-use building that breathes new life into the historic Tampa Heights neighborhood.
Armature Works includes the Heights Public Market - a variety of restaurants and bars, over 30,000 square feet of indoor/outdoor event space and “Bay 3,” an 11,000-square-foot co-shared workspace. In addition, Armature Works hosts more than 500 private events and more than 200 public events annually.
