Best Tampa Area Pumpkin Patches 2020
Escape the house and pick out a pumpkin this fall while your family enjoys the fun Tampa area pumpkin patches have to offer.

TAMPA, FL — Along with crisp air and turning leaves, a fall tradition for many families is a visit to a local pumpkin patch. And while the coronavirus pandemic of 2020 has caused some of the region’s pumpkin patches to modify how they operate, quite a few will be open this fall. We have hours, attractions and activities as the pumpkin-picking season ramps up.
In many cases, coronavirus precautions have merely changed — not shut down — area pumpkin patches and their entertainment options. Below is a list of some of our favorite pumpkin patches in the Tampa area:
St. Paul Pumpkin Patch
The St. Paul Catholic Church youth group will host a pumpkin patch through Oct. 31 at the church, 12708 N. Dale Mabry Highway, Tampa, from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday and noon to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

Seal Swim School’s Pumpkin Patch
Seal Swim School at 19509 Dale Mabry Highway in Lutz and at 3703 W. McKay Ave., South Tampa, will host pumpkin patches through Oct. 31 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Hyde Park Village Pumpkin Patch
Hyde Park Village will host a socially distant pumpkin patch through Oct. 31 at 1602 W. Snow Ave.

Hours are Monday through Friday from noon to 6 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 6 p.m.
The cost is $1 for a small pumpkin to $20 for an extra-large pumpkin.
Proceeds will benefit the Humane Society of Tampa Bay.
Tampa Bay Farmers Market Pumpkin Patch
The Tampa Bay Farmers Market Pumpkin Patch, 1001 N. Armenia Ave., Tampa, will be open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., offering pumpkins, corn stalks, straw bales, hay and more.

Bearss Groves Pumpkin Patch
The Bearss Groves pumpkin patch at 14316 Lake Magdalene Bvd., Tampa, is open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. throughout October.
Bearss Groves claims to have Florida's largest pumpkin. The family-run farm stand in North Tampa has a 989-pound pumpkin purchased in Michigan.
Children of all ages can see the giant pumpkin, explore the Bearss Groves pumpkin patch, take photos (pet-friendly) and relax under Bearss Groves very own 400-year-old oak tree. Fall attire is welcome.

Seminole Heights Pumpkin Patch
Seminole Heights United Methodist Church, 6111 N. Central Ave., Tampa, will host the Great Pumpkin Patch on the front lawn of the church through Oct. 31. The pumpkin patch will be open Monday through Friday from 2 to 8 p.m., Saturday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 9 p.m. Cash, checks and all major credit cards are accepted.
Raprager Family Farm Pumpkin Patch
The Raprager Family Farm, 16907 Boy Scout Road, Odessa, will host its annual pumpkin patch and fall festival through Oct. 31, Wednesday to Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
It will include hay rides, a corn pit, pumpkin carving, a haunted barn, crop maze, scarecrow contests, a giant slide, a play fort, kiddie haunted house, animal interactive experience, face painting, pumpkin painting, food and vendors.
Fox Squirrel Corn Maze
Fox Squirrel Farm will host its annual pumpkin patch and corn maze at 3002 Charlie Taylor Road N., Plant City, Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 10 to Nov. 1, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
There will also be hayrides, horse and pony rides, music by the Duck Wallow Lane Bluegrass Band, duck races, a giant slingshot, a hay bale maze for toddler, a butterfly garden, dummy steer roping, games, arts and craft vendors, food and more.
The cost of the corn maze is $11 for 18 and older and $10 for ages 3 to 17. Children 2 and under are admitted for free. Click here to buy tickets online.
Dave’s Pumpkin Patch
Dave's Pumpkin Patch at 106 E. Lumsden Road, Brandon, will return Oct. 9, offering carving pumpkins, minis, white and blue pumpkins, corn stalks, hay bales, firewood and more. Hours are 1 to 8 p.m.

Wolfe's Pumpkin Patch
Wolfe's Produce Market, 6005 U.S. 301 S., Riverview, will host its annual pumpkin patch although its fall hay rides are canceled this year. Hours are 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.
