Blake Snell is Right Shut Baseball Down Until We All Are Safe!

In the end what good are millions of dollars if your dead? Right? It is more important that everyone be 100% safe than risk lives so gifted baseball players can as Tampa Bay Rays Pitcher Blake Snell phrased it “take another pay cut” from his $7M per year salary. I have to wonder what his unemployment check might be or where he had his $1200 stimulus check go?

He’s not wrong why should he risk anything to endanger his health a choice nurses, doctors, EMS folks don’t have at the moment. But then they don’t have fastball with a shelf life of 7-8 years.

I believe it’s best that our well paid sports stars and their billionaire club owners not earn one dime until we are all safe again. No one should ever be at risk to help enrich these wonderful folks.

i am sure they can do just fine with their “money” for a few years instead most of folks who live check to check.

I know a former high school star pitcher who hurt his arm and never had a career who is really busy unloading mulch at Lowe’s making some overtime now too!

Blake Snell has no need to worry that his money making fastball might just go away as naturally as it came. All baseball players know the lord givith and the lords takith away.

But Blake Snell is totally correct about safety. And for our safety so we can protect “our money” baseball should remained shutdown until there is a vaccine to prevent coronavirus with at least 2 years of success.
