Bob Carter, Nick And Aaron’s Dad, Dead At 65
Bob Carter, the father of Backstreet Boys' Nick Carter, and singer Aaron Carter, has died at 65.

TAMPA, FL — Singers Nick and Aaron Carter took to Twitter on Wednesday to announce the death of their father. Robert Gene Cater reportedly died Tuesday in Florida at the age of 65.
Details about the cause of death are not readily available.
Backstreet Boys’ singer Nick, 37, wrote that he was heartbroken to share the news. “While we learn more about the cause of death, and begin the grieving process, we ask that our privacy be respected at this difficult time.”

Aaron, 29, also took to Twitter on Wednesday to express his grief. “I’m gonna miss you forever poppa smurf you were the coolest man ever,” wrote the Tampa native. “And super good looking pops! I’m really messed up right now.”

TMZ broke the news of Bob Carter’s death, reporting that Aaron had tweeted and then deleted “something about his father being unconscious.” Bob appeared on the family’s reality show “House of Carters.”
Further information about Bob Carter’s death is not available. It is unclear where in Florida he passed away. The family had ties to the Orlando and Tampa Bay area.
