House hunters on the prowl for a property that just might enable them to hobnob with notable retired professional athletes should check out a new listing on the Tampa luxury market.

Vinny Lecavalier, the Tampa Bay Lightning’s former captain, has put his Mediterranean-style mansion on the market for a cool $4.45 million. It seems he’s been spending more time in Pennsylvania and his native Quebec since signing with the Flyers two years ago.

Lecavalier’s 7,636-square-foot home is just a stone’s throw from the property owned by retired New York Yankee’s shortstop Derek Jeter and another home owned by former Tampa Bay Buccaneer Brad Culpepper, according to The Tampa Tribune.

Lecavalier’s 68 Bahama Circle home has six bedrooms, seven bathrooms and boasts its own wine room, pre-wired home theater and reception area. It also offers a “breathtaking open bay view,” according to its listing on Zillow.com. There’s also a pool, outdoor kitchen and bar, a cabana and a dock with a lift – not to mention those famous neighbors.

Lecavalier, 34, spent a total of 14 years with the Lightning before signing on to play center for the Philadelphia Flyers a few years back.

Jeter’s decision to put down his post-retirement roots in the Tampa area was highly publicized prior to his retirement last year.
