1. Just hours after he said he was still weighing his options Monday night, former Patriots quarterback and Tampa Bay Buccaneers Quarterback Tom Brady announced his official retirement from the NFL on Tuesday. Brady is ending a 22-year-run as the NFL's premier quarterback. (Foxborough Patch)

2. Republican Jay Collins outraised incumbent Democrat U.S. Rep. Kathy Castor in 4th quarter fundraising for Florida?s 13th Congressional District, which includes Tampa. Castor has held the seat since 2006 and is facing a slew of new challengers who want to flip the district from blue to red this fall. (Florida Politics)

3. James Beard-nominated chef Ferrell Alvarez will open his new "Dang Dude" Asian concept next month in Tampa?s Sparkman Wharf. The Dang Dude menu is still in development, but will include Chinese flatbreads, bao-buns, and more. (Creative Loafing Tampa)

4. A Tampa teen has won her appeal in district court for the right to talk to a doctor about, and ultimately have a medical abortion. A prior ruling from Judge Jared Smith made national headlines for denying her request based on her GPA. Although the teen prevailed on appeal. (Fox 13 Tampa)

5. Tampa's Stageworks Theatre Company is honoring the 75th anniversary of the publication of "The Diary of Anne Frank" with a production starting on Friday, February 4th. Karla Hartley is directing the play and 16-year-old Mercy Roberts is playing Anne Frank and telling the story of her struggles in the Holocaust. (ABC Action News)
