City Of Tampa: Tampa Police Investigate Fatal Crash

On 7/6/21 at approximately 9:37 PM, the driver of a blue Chevrolet Silverado was traveling northbound on 40th St approaching E Fern when he struck the raised median, causing the truck to flip and cross onto the southbound lanes. As a result, the driver of a white GMC Sierra that was traveling south on 40th St. was struck head on by the blue Silverado. Both drivers were transported to a nearby hospital. The driver of the white GMC Sierra, an adult black male, suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The driver of the blue Chevy Silverado, an adult black male, died as a result of his injuries. This incident is still under investigation.
