On July 7th, 2021 at approximately 11:00 am, an adult male victim was sitting inside of the driver seat of a parked vehicle with an adult passenger seated next to him. The suspect approached the victim's vehicle on foot and shot the victim several times. The victim placed the vehicle in drive and traveled a short distance before crashing into a group of parked cars. The passenger was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The victim, unfortunately, died as a result of his injuries. Although early in the investigation, this does not appear to be a random act.
