Court Orders Chemotherapy For 3-Year-Old Boy: Report

A judge ruled Wednesday that Noah McAdams, 3, must undergo chemo against the wishes of his parents, who favor organic treatment.

TAMPA, FL — A 3-year-old boy from Tampa is undergoing chemotherapy ordered by a Hillsborough County judge, against the wishes of his parents, according to media reports. The child, Noah McAdams, is receiving the treatment as he battles leukemia, WFLA-TV News Channel 8 reported.

The child's parents favor a more organic approach to treatment, including medical-grade cannabis, vitamins and a strict diet, according to News Channel 8.

But the parents, Taylor Bland-Ball amd Joshua McAdams, lost custody of Noah when they took him to Kentucky last week to seek a second opinion, the TV station reported.

The boy was scheduled to receive chemotherapy treatment Thursday at Johns Hopkins All Children's Hospital in downtown St. Petersburg.
