Crescent Communities opens Crescent Westshore luxury apartment community with significant initial interest
374-apartment community has focus on open, shared areas to create a true sense of community
TAMPA, Fla. – Sept. 2, 2016 –Crescent Communities opened Crescent Westshore, a new luxury apartment community located in Tampa’s Westshore area, on September 1.
The community is already seeing significant interest from those who appreciate a higher standard of apartment living, with nearly 50 apartments leased prior to opening.
Located in the heart of Westshore, Florida’s largest office district, the apartment community is designed with collaboration and community in mind, from the expansive two-story clubhouse with an outdoor elevated terrace, to the three community courtyards.

The numerous amenity spaces at Crescent Westshore include an extensive “third-place” lounge – an environment separate from the two social spaces of home (first place) and the workplace (second place) – with WiFi access for residents who work from home, and a glass-enclosed conference room. The community also has a laid-back meeting area with a flat screen TV, a shared indoor/outdoor summer kitchen to entertain guests, a dog run for small and large dogs, two salt water resort-style pools, and a top-of-the-line fitness center, among other amenities.
Catching everyone’s eye on the drive up to the community is a newly installed sculpture called the “Budding Vortex.” Located at the front of the property, the 18-foot-tall aluminum-plate sculpture has dynamic LED lighting at its core. The sculpture was designed by St. Petersburg artist Mark Aeling and reflects the principles of the Golden Ratio, a fundamental of math and science that translates into beautiful forms in nature – from flower pedals to DNA.

“Our goal with Crescent Westshore was to create a differentiated, contemporary and sophisticated community in an increasingly amenitized area of Tampa,” said Jay Curran, Senior Vice President of Crescent Communities, the developer of Crescent Westshore. “From those who have seen the property, we’re getting exceptional feedback that this is the type of home and amenities that people have been looking for in Westshore – high-quality apartment living in a great location, offering short commutes and great access to shopping, dining, and much more.”
With 374 apartments, Crescent Westshore has studio, 1-, 2- and 3-bedroom residences ranging from a 528-square-foot studio to a 1,431-square-foot, 3-bedroom apartment. Each apartment comes with modern amenities, such as stainless steel appliances, quartz countertops with high-end tile backsplash, quiet-close cabinets and drawers, and full-size washer and dryers.
The community is at 2202 N Lois Ave., near the intersection of Lois and Boy Scout Boulevard, walkable to numerous restaurants, shops and offices.
