The Cuban Sammy Showdown by DoorDash

What: The Cuban Sammy Showdown is an outdoor, in-person food competition event, where DoorDash will be bringing the foodies of Tampa together to taste, vote, and crown their favorite reimagined local Cuban sandwich creation—from a BBQ spin on the old classic to an unexpected Cuban kimchi wonton with a dill mustard dipping sauce.

Attendees will get a chance to taste all three creations and vote on their favorite through a mobile site on the day-of. DoorDash will also post these to Twitter, so Tampans can vote even if they aren't able to attend. Open to the public.

• Bento Asian Kitchen: Bento is thinking outside of the box and creating a Cuban Kimchi Wonton with a dill mustard dipping sauce.
• 4 Rivers Smokehouse: 4 Rivers will be serving a BBQ riff on the Cuban with smoked pork and ham, mustard, pickles, onion rings, melted provolone cheese and 4R Signature Sauce, stacked high, pressed, then grilled to perfection.
• Forbici Modern Italian: Forbici is taking an Italian spin on this classic and creating a Cuban panini on their house-made pala bread.
