Exercise Equipment to be Replaced on Bayshore Fitness Trail

The Bayshore Fitness Trail extends along Bayshore from the Davis Islands bridges to Rome Avenue.

Tampa firm Hill Ward Henderson has donated $50,000 to replace the aging exercise equipment on the Bayshore Fitness Trail.

“I am grateful to Hill Ward Henderson for their generosity, and I am sure the thousands of people who enjoy Bayshore everyday will be as well," said Mayor Bob Buckhorn in a city news release.

The 10 current fitness stations on the Bayshore Fitness Trail will get new equipment that includes a sit-up bench, a three-person pommel horse, a jump bar and leg stretchers, the release said.

The donation will also help to install rubberized fall surface material around the equipment. Installation will be complete by September.
