FDOT Opens Community Engagement Office
Downtown Tampa-area offices designed for residents to discuss the Tampa Bay Express projects.

TAMPA, FL – The Florida Department of Transportation opened a Community Engagement Office near downtown Tampa. The office was established to provide the community convenient access to a knowledgeable member of the FDOT staff that can answer questions about the Tampa Bay Express projects.
Tampa Bay Express is a series of projects made up of almost 50 miles of roadway improvements connecting the Tampa Bay region. The project runs from the Gateway area in Pinellas County, following I-275 to the Downtown Tampa Interchange (I-275 at I-4) and along I-4 to just before Plant City.
Outreach materials and computer access will also be available at these locations.

The weekday office location for the Community Engagement Office is at the City of Tampa Utilities building (formerly the German American Club), 2105 N. Nebraska Ave. from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The weekend office location is the Robert W. Saunders, Sr., Library, 1505 N. Nebraska Ave., from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The next Community Engagement Meeting will take place Monday, April 11 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the John F. Germany Library, 900 N. Ashley Drive in Tampa. This meeting will focus on the West River community. Representatives from City of Tampa Home Owner Associations, residents, and civic and business associations near the Downtown Tampa Interchange to participate in this meeting.
