'Fiddler On The Roof' Comes To Tampa's Straz Center

A rendition of Broadway's "Fiddler On The Roof" is coming to Tampa for a series of performances at Carol Morsani Hall at the Straz Center.

TAMPA, FL — "Fiddler on the Roof" comes to Tampa with its new Broadway production. Tickets are now on sale for the series of performances, held at Carol Morsani Hall at the Straz Center from Nov. 5-10.

Led by Tony-winning director Bartlett Sher, this all-new rendition of a timeless classic features the "Fiddler on the Roof" tunes you have come to love, like "Tradition," "Sunrise, Sunset," "Matchmaker, Matchmaker" and "If I Were A Rich Man." The heartwarming play details the stories of families, relationships, love and laughter.

The Broadway production is forgoing New York for a tour across the U.S. Performances kicked off July 30 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and will work their way across the country before concluding in New Orleans in May 2020. Along the way, audiences enjoy the fresh vision of director Bartlett Sher. Sher and his team are best known for their renditions of "South Pacific," "The King and I" and "Oslo," which nabbed a Tony award in 2017.

Showgoers in Tampa are privy to the show's star-studded cast, full orchestra, and impressive choreography by Hofesh Shechter. The play takes cues (pun intended) from original staging by Jerome Robbins for this Pulitzer Prize–winning storyline. Earning five stars from Time Out New York, the current tour introduces "Fiddler on the Roof" to a new generation.
