TAMPA, FLA — First lady Jill Biden will appear at a vaccination event Thursday at Amalie Arena after the Tampa Bay Lightning announced a free clinic on Monday in an initiative to get more Floridians vaccinated.

The White House announced Biden would travel to the arena for the event, which is scheduled to take place between 4:30-6:30 p.m. Biden will make an appearance for the “Shots On Ice” campaign, which will provide free Pfizer shots (first and second doses) and free doses of the Johnson & Johnson vaccines. The first lady is scheduled to appear at a drive-thru clinic in Kissimmee before traveling to Tampa, according to reports.

“These trips are part of the Administration’s nation-wide tour to reach millions of Americans who still need protection against the virus, highlight the ease of getting vaccinated, and mobilize grassroots vaccine education and outreach effort,” the White House said in an announcement.
