Fish Without A License In Florida This Weekend

The fishing license requirement is waived on Saturday and Sunday for all freshwater fish anglers

Florida residents and tourists can enjoy freshwater fishing this weekend without purchasing a state license, the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission announced. The fishing license requirement is waived on Saturday and Sunday for all recreational anglers, but size and limit restrictions must be followed.

The commission says free fishing days were created to provide an opportunity for parents who don't have licenses to take kids fishing, or for avid anglers to introduce a friend to fishing.

The license-free days this weekend are for freshwater fishing only; saltwater fishing without a license will be allowed on the first weekend of June.
