TAMPA, FL — Just in time for the return of swimsuit season, Fit Bowl Co. Superfood Bar has expanded into Sparkman Wharf, bringing its health-conscious superfood concept to the dining garden.
“2021 has already been a banner year for Sparkman Wharf, with seven new retail leases signed since January,” said Susan Martin, vice president of retail and place management for Strategic Property Partners. “We couldn’t be more excited to welcome Fit Bowl Co. and introduce a new dining concept that is sure to become another popular healthy option for the growing number of people who live in, work in and visit Water Street Tampa every day.”
Fit Bowl Col first introduced its plant-based creations like acai bowls, smoothies, vegan soft-serve, as well as prosecco and sorbet floats for adults at its original location on Davis Islands, 214 E Davis Blvd, Tampa.

The restaurant's popularity prompted its expansion to a second location the Sparkman Wharf shipping containers facing the park, previously occupied by space Blind Tiger Coffee Roasters.
“Fit Bowl Co. prides itself on creating delicious meals and snacks crafted from wholesome ingredients and nutritious superfoods, and we look forward to becoming the new go-to spot to grab a quick, healthy bite (or a less-guilty treat) at Sparkman Wharf,” said Trent McAree, who started Fit Bowl Co. with his brother in 2017 as a “pop up” concept in a 60-square-foot micro-kitchen nestled between two buildings.

Sparkman Wharf is owned by Strategic Property Partners LLC, a partnership between Cascade Investment LLC and Tampa Bay Lightning owner Jeff Vinik, which is revitalizing the downtown Tampa core into an urban, mixed-use waterfront district consisting of approximately nine million square feet of new commercial, residential, hospitality, cultural, entertainment, educational and retail uses, totaling more than $3.5 billion in private investment.
