TAMPA, FL — The National Weather Service has issued a flood warning until noon Saturday for the Hillsborough River near Hillsborough River State Park due to the heavy rainfall from Tropical Storm Elsa.

At 10 a.m. Thursday, the river crested at 10.8 feet. Flood stage is 10 feet.

The weather service said the Hillsborough River is expected to crest at 11 feet this afternoon and may be closed at that time.
