Garbage Collection Schedule to Change for Fourth of July

With the Fourth of July falling on a Thursday this year, garbage collection in the City of Tampa will undergo a few changes this week.

No residential garbage, yard waste recycling or blue box recycling collection will occur on Thursday, according to city officials. Garbage collection will resume on Monday, July 8. Blue box recycling and yard waste collection will resume on Thursday, July 11.

Commercial services that were scheduled for Thursday, July 4 will be serviced on Friday, July 5, city officials say.

Normal collection schedules resume on Monday, July 8.
