'Hamburglar' Steals McDonald's Donation Boxes For Needy Families
A reward is being offered for information that leads to the arrest of a thief who has been stealing donation boxes.

TAMPA BAY, FL — Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay is offering a reward for tips that lead to the apprehension of a thief who has been stealing donation boxes from Tampa Bay McDonald's restaurants.
Between May 26 and June 10, seven donation boxes for seriously ill children and their families who are being aided by the Ronald McDonald House were stolen and the thief tried to steal an eighth box.
The thief has stolen donation boxes from Tampa, Zephyrhills, Pasco County, Hillsborough County and Lakeland.

According to surveillance video, the thief uses bolt cutters he carries in a black backpack to cut the lock and steal the donation box. He then covers the donation box with his red jacket before fleeing on a red motorcycle.

Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to the identification and arrest of the donation box thief.
Anyone with information who wants to be eligible for a cash reward is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-TIPS (8477).
