Heat Advisory Issued By National Weather Services For 2 Counties

Forecasters said Thursday's heat index is expected to reach 110 degrees.

TAMPA BAY, FL ? The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for Hillsborough and Manatee counties from noon to 6 p.m. Thursday.

The NWS said the heat index is expected to reach 110 degrees and warns that the hot temperatures and high humidity may cause heat-related illnesses.

According to AccuWeather, Thursday's high will be 95 degrees.

The NWS recommends drinking plenty of fluids, staying in air-conditioned rooms, staying out of the sun, and checking up on relatives and neighbors. Young children and pets should never be left in vehicles.
