Here's How To Get Rid Of Yard Waste From Tropical Storm Eta
If you are cleaning up your yard after the brush with Tropical Storm Eta, Hillsborough County has several options to discard your trash.
HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL — Hillsborough County Solid Waste has resumed curbside collection for trash, recycling and yard waste.
The county's yard waste processing collection sites are also now open.

Here's what you need to know if you're a Hillsborough County Solid Waste customer:
Yard Waste Curbside Collection
For curbside pickup, you may set out up to 12 30-gallon containers or bags of yard waste, or 2 cubic yards (about the size that a standard pickup truck can carry) of stacked materials.

Containers, bundles, bags or individual items cannot exceed 50 pounds.
Cut tree limbs and other yard waste into pieces no more than 4 feet long or 6 inches in diameter.
The county's yard waste processing collection sites accept residential bulk yard waste material. There is no charge to access the centers. Bring a photo identification and current property tax bill showing the solid waste collection and disposal assessments.
The yard waste processing collection sites are open Monday through Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Northwest County - 8001 W. Linebaugh Ave. in Tampa
- South County - 13000 U.S. 41 in Gibsonton
- Resource Recovery Facility - 350 N. Falkenburg Road in Tampa
Other Storm Debris
Take large volumes of debris or oversized items that don't fit in the gray roll cart to a community collection center.
Residential customers may deliver up to 10 cubic yards of solid waste material to collection centers each year as part of their annual assessment. Bring a photo identification and current property tax bill showing the solid waste collection and disposal assessments.
These centers are open Monday through Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.:
- Alderman Ford - 9402 County Road 39 in Lithia
- Hillsborough Heights - 6209 County Road 579 in Seffner
- Northwest County - 8001 W. Linebaugh Ave. in Tampa
- South County - 13000 U.S. 41 in Gibsonton
- Wimauma - 16180 W. Lake Drive in Wimauma (This center is open on Saturdays from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
