In the Aboriginal Australian culture, a walkabout is a ritual, event or experience that marks or constitutes a major milestone or change in a person’s life.

McColl said she opened Walkabout Eatery because moving to the United States is her personal walkabout, plus she serves up authentic Australian food that people can eat while walking about.

The Walkabout Eatery menu favorites include the traditional meat pie (minced meat, onions, spices and a savory gravy wrapped in homemade pastry) and sausage rolls (ground pork and the perfect blend of spices and Worcestershire in a puff pastry).

Right now, both meat pies and sausage rolls are available for bulk order (six for $30).

The full menu is available online. All orders can be placed by calling 813-953-1085. Gift cards are also available for purchase.
