Hillsborough To Host Fight the Blight Community Cleanup
Hillsborough County Code Enforcement will host a Fight the Blight Community Cleanup in the University of South Florida area.

TAMPA, FL — From Saturday, Aug. 22 to Aug. 29, Hillsborough County Code Enforcement will host a Fight the Blight Community Cleanup in the neighborhoods near the University of South Florida.
As part of the cleanup, Hillsborough County’s Rapid Response Team is offering free curbside pickup of items residents would normally have to pay someone to haul away or take to the landfill themselves. Residents can put furniture, debris, metal, electronics and up to five tires at the curb any time during the eight-day period, and the county will collect and dispose of the materials.
The cleanup is open to residents who live within the following boundaries:

- North: Sinclair Hills Road
- South: Fowler Avenue
- East: Livingston Avenue/Bruce B. Downs Boulevard
- West: Nebraska Avenue
Yard waste, commercial vehicle tires, and hazardous chemicals will not be accepted. For more information, call 813-352-2473. Days of operation are subject to change based upon adverse weather conditions.

- Items must be placed within 6 feet of curbside - not in alleys or side streets.
- Place material on the ground, not blocking right of way in streets or sidewalks.
- Do not place items directly under power lines or tree limbs.
