Lightning Alumni Return For Third Annual Hockey Day in Tampa Bay

TAMPA, FL – While the Tampa Bay Lightning are on their first-ever bye week, several of their former stars are getting ready to take the ice this Saturday against some of their old rivals.

The third annual Hockey Day in Tampa Bay is set to take place Saturday, Feb. 18 from 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Amalie Arena in downtown Tampa. The highlight of the event will be the Tampa Bay Lightning alumni game against the Boston Bruins alumni.

Hockey Day in Tampa Bay will also spotlight the Lightning High School Hockey League, with the league’s all-star game and finals taking place during the festivities. The LHSHL final two teams will be determined during this week’s play.

Saturday, Feb. 18

• 9 a.m.: Chase Street Lightning Tournament opens on Thunder Alley
• Noon: Gear Sale door opens
• 12:30 p.m.: Regular doors open
• 1-2:15 p.m.: Sled hockey game with Lightning alumni
• 2:45-4 p.m.: Honda LHSHL All-Star Game
• 4-4:30 p.m. Lightning Made Skills Competition
• 5-6:30 p.m.: Tampa Bay Lightning vs. Boston Bruins alumni game
• 7-8:30 p.m.: LHSHL Championship Game

Tickets to Hockey Day in Tampa Bay are $10 in advance, which can be purchased at https://www.nhl.com/lightning, or $15 at the door. All proceeds from the event will go to the Jason Ritchie Foundation, which provides scholarships to youth hockey players throughout the Tampa Bay area, and the Lightning Sled Hockey Program.
