1. The Tampa Bay Lightning did it again and won the Stanley Cup on Wednesday night. They became the 17th team in NHL history to win at least two consecutive Stanley Cup trophies. (Patch)
2. A Tampa couple is suing Academy of the Holy Names Catholic school and demanding the return of a large donation, saying it isn’t adhering to Catholic values because of the way it’s handling issues like race and accepting the LGBTQ community. (WFLA)

3. Nearly 60,000 gallons of wastewater spilled into Tampa Bay last week after the City of Tampa Wastewater Department discovered there was a wastewater overflow in South Tampa. The cause of the overflow is not known, but most often they are caused by flushable wipes and similar non-flushable materials that cause clogs in piping. (Creative Loafing Tampa)
4. The Tampa Bay Lightning’s championship boat parade is being scheduled for Monday, July 12, according to the City of Tampa. Details are still being worked out, but last year’s parade kicked off at Marjorie Park on Davis Islands and wound its way up past Armature Works. (Fox 13 Tampa Bay)
5. South Tampa opponents of an apartment and townhouse development will get a chance to air their objections before city officials at a zoning hearing on July 22. The Hoover Boulevard development plans to bring 392 apartments and 16 townhouses to the area. (Business Observer)
