Man Arrested In Connection With Shooting Death in January
Tampa police have arrested a 36-year-old man in connection with a shooting death Jan. 10.
TAMPA, FL — Tampa police have arrested a 36-year-old man in connection with a shooting death Jan. 10.
Officers responded to the 3000 block of North Morgan Street after receiving a call about a man found down of gunshot wounds.
Witness statements and surveillance video led detectives to Derrick Hutchins. Detectives learned that Hutchins and the dead man were seen together hours before the shooting.

Hutchins, who was already incarcerated in the Pinellas County Jail on unrelated charges, was charged with first-degree murder.
