Attention, civic-minded teens!
The Mayor's Youth Corps provides a forum for Tampa teens to engage with city leaders, participate in their community, connect with peers and learn about city government. Members will meet with Mayor Bob Buckhorn, conduct community service projects and produce a youth-oriented TV show.
Application forms are available in all school guidance offices and are accepted until Friday, October 18, 2013.
Members of the Youth Leadership Council, seniors in high school who were part of the prior year’s Mayor’s Youth Corps, review the applications, conduct interviews, and make recommendations regarding acceptance into the program.
