Families will get a chance to explore some of these artworks in unconventional places in downtown Tampa Saturday, Dec. 5 from 4 to 6 p.m.
TAMPA, FL — Some of Tampa's public art projects are well-known, like the giant Tampa postcard painted on the wall of a Franklin Street building by Carl Cowden III in 2003. Others might be harder to spot but are equally worth seeing.
Families will get a chance to explore some of these artworks in unconventional places in downtown Tampa Saturday, Dec. 5 from 4 to 6 p.m. when the Tampa Downtown Partnership and Pedal Power Promoters LLC hosts Downtown's Walk & Bike Holiday Showcase starting at Winter Village at Curtis Hixon Park.
Walk, bike or scoot on a free, family-friendly self-guided tour of downtown's newest art in unconventional places and meet the artists behind downtown's parklets, Walk Your City signs, intersection murals, decorated curb extensions and new garage bike parking areas.
