Hillsborough Public School Seniors Receive Diplomas In Person

In-person graduations for more than 14,000 Hillsborough County School District seniors began Tuesday at the Florida State Fairgrounds.

HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, FL — In-person graduations for more than 14,000 graduating Hillsborough County School District seniors will kick off Tuesday at the Florida State Fairgrounds Expo Hall.

In 2020, graduating seniors had virtual ceremonies due to the coronavirus pandemic. At this year's graduations, taking place from May 24 to June 3, coronavirus safety protocols will be in place for students, attendees, graduates and staff.

  • Four tickets per graduate
  • Cleaning between each ceremony
  • Hand sanitizers available throughout venue
  • Masks required
  • Graduates will be spaced out by 3 to 6 feet, depending on the size of the school
  • No processional to encourage social distancing

Graduations for traditional high schools will begin Tuesday. Graduations for Exceptional Student Education Centers began Monday.
