Police Body Cam Captures Compassion For A Kitten In Distress
A body-worn camera records Tampa Police officers' rescue of a kitten that had fallen into a storm drain.

TAMPA, FL — While Tampa police officers were equipped with body-worn cameras to document arrests and increase the department's transparency, every once in a while the body cameras capture an interesting slice of life in an officer's day or touching moment.
That was the case when officers were called to rescue a kitten that had fallen into a storm drain a couple of weeks ago.
After her rescue, the kitten was taken to Tampa Bay Veterinary Emergency Services. Officers decided to name her Wilma since she was rescued at the intersection of Wilma Street and Nebraska Avenue.
