Portion of Westshore Boulevard to Close Until July
Area between West Bay Way Drive to Beachway Drive will close April 27
TAMPA, FL – Westshore Boulevard from West Bay Way Drive to Beachway Drive will close Wednesday, April 27 as part of the Watrous Canal Rehabilitation Project. This portion of roadway is expected to remain closed until July.
The city contractor is replacing existing utilities and box culvert. Pedestrian access will be maintained on one side of Westshore Boulevard at all times.
The City of Tampa recommends using the following route: From the north, head southbound on Westshore Boulevard to West Kennedy Boulevard. Turn east onto Kennedy and turn south onto Lois Avenue. Then, turn southwest on Henderson Boulevard, and follow around the curve onto South Manhattan Avenue. Turn west on West Bay to Bay Boulevard, which merges back onto South Westshore Boulevard. The reverse route is recommended for motorists travelling from the south.
